It has recently come to my attention that many people do not know the difference between cheetah and leopard print, which is an issue I plan to solve. It can be confusing at first, but once you learn the difference, you'll never be wrong again!

I am a cute cheetah. |
Notice the cheetah's dark, one-color spots. Voila, cheetah print. Leopards, on the other hand, have two-tone (and considered rosette-like) spots.

Lazin' leopards.. do I sense a new Legends of the Hidden Temple team? |
And now, Jeffrey Campbell will illustrate:

Cheetah-print "Miracle Fur," $125, and leopard-print "Abierto," $180, both at Solestruck.com |
There you have it. Enlighten your friends!

lmao! lazin' leopards! blue barracudas!
I had no idea! You have made me smarter and I will do my best to keep from calling my cheetah print flats leopard prints.
What a lovely post! The way I differentiated it when I was younger is looking for the "hole" in the middle that the marks on the leopard print have. I think I still do that now, haha.
Prefer leopard print I think. I doubt that it's just the print people get confused, it's the animals themselves. Like tortoises and turtles. Or is that a whole other argument?
