H&M Magazine Fall 2011

Wait.. where did the week go? I can't believe it's Monday again, already! Well dolls, my apologies for another mini hiatus. Let me make it up to you with a few shots from the latest H&M Magazine, featuring a beautiful blend of 40s- and 70s-inspired silhouettes.

By far, my favorite items shown here are the coats and blouses. I also love the look of the tall black boots with the wooden stacked heel, but definitely need to check out that "leather" in person. Also, how incredibly stunning is model Magdalena Frackowiak?

By the way, it's raining in NYC! I took advantage of the lower temps and soggy sidewalks and brought my favorite boots out of exile. I've missed them so much!

First Look: Missoni for Target

Image via here
The first Missoni for Target ad has surfaced, and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised! It stars none other than Margherita Missoni herself, brand ambassador and heiress, strolling about the streets of Milan clad in an enviable abundance of zigzag-print glory.

The collaboration will feature 400+ pieces of clothing, accessories, dinnerware and decor. I have a feeling my apartment is going to be very colorful come September..

Already on my shopping list? The laptop case (!!), scarf, and (seemingly) overhead storage-friendly carry-on. I just hope this doesn't turn into another quality letdown, like a few previous Target collabs (I am still upset with you, Zac Posen!).

Are you as excited as I am?

Stylist Marina Muñoz headed to the men's closet for this Vogue.com editorial, proving that women can do anything--including rock head-to-toe menswear.

Muñoz focused on proportions, such as bulky sweaters paired with slim jeans, and femine accessories, like the Mui Mui curved-heel platforms in the first photo, to lighten up the masculine silhouette.

I've been known to pinch a thing or two from the men's (and sometimes boy's) department, so I am loving these ideas. It seems like men's clothing is almost always less expensive, and way, way more comfortable!

What's the best way you've incorporated a menswear look into an outfit?

All that glitters

Accessories: I LOVE THEM. How about that, alligator belt buckle? This July '11 Vogue Spain spread, featuring model Jessica Miller, is just dripping in sparkly decadence, amping up my desire for an accessory watch (like the red one in the 1st photo) and reptile-shaped ornaments (like the 'gators in the 2nd photo).

Also: Utility shirts. Short orange nails. Metallic blue smoky eyeshadow.

Elle Vietnam - Perfection beyond obsession

OHMYGOODNESS. I absolutely can not stop staring at these photos of Dinara Chetyrova in July's Elle Vietnam. Such strength and power enveloped in billowy silhouettes, luxe jewel tones and stunning animal prints.

I can't get over it. Can't. Obsessed is not the word.

Happy Friday!

Vogue Spain - Perfection

I know I just recently delved into a brief history of Vogue covers, but isn't this July cover for Vogue Spain (featuring model Malgosia Bela) just perfection? I want to mention everything--beautifully matched lips and nails, big hair, emerald halter dress paired with her eyes and the olive background, seductive over-the-shoulder pose and the simple statement jewelry. Breathtaking!

Are you as in love with this cover as I am?

Vogue Covergirls Under 21

With a 21-year-old Emma Watson landing its July cover, Vogue has brought to light the 14 other women who have also managed to grace its cover by the time they could legally consume an alcoholic beverage. Other than being incredibly impressed by these starlets, I am also ridiculously amused at the differences between then and now! And can you believe Brooke Sheilds was only 14? Or that there was a time when Vogue was $2?

YSL Sexy Staredown

Fashion powerhouse Yves Saint Laurent is too sexy for its glasses. Or sexy because of its sunglasses? You decide, after watching this highly stylish video for its Spring/Summer '11 eyewear collection.

I haven't seen this many intense and lusting stares since Twilight! Just kidding, I haven't watched any Twilight movies, but I do really, really want need some new sunglasses now.

Isabeli Fontana in Vogue Paris

How beautiful is Isabeli Fontana on the June/July cover of Vogue Paris? I'm loving the use of color, here--her gorgeous skin tone against the ocean-blue wall and jewel-tone dress, the striking eyes and pale lips.

Modern Comforts

Stare in amazement as Izabel Goulart, of Victoria's Secret fame, makes desert rocks look as glamorous and comfortable as satin sheets in the May issue of Vogue Spain.

A Day at the Circus

Yes, yes, yes please! One of my favorite books has received the Vogue treatment, with Water for Elephants meeting mastermind photographer Peter Lindbergh in the May 2011 issue.

This depression-era love story features cover girl Reese Witherspoon (cast as the ethereal Marlena), contributing to one larger-than-life spread and a new addition to my Spring 2011 "must-have" list: an elephant!

Can I have one?
