Sometimes I just get outfit images in my mind. Whether it works or not, well, I don't really care, I just want to try it out. This is one of those instances!
I woke up with these specific pieces in my head on Thursday morning, delusionally thinking, "I'm going to dress like I'm hitting the NYFW tents!"
Impractical for two reasons. 1) It's freaking cold. 2) It's impractical.
Yet, 3).. does it really matter? My immersion in Fashion Week has been minimal compared to 90% of those I follow on Twitter, yet I can't help feeling that my close proximity makes me feel more a part of it than ever. Wannabe silk dress layered over a t-shirt with tights, a studded belt and booties? Quite possibly not the worst thing to hit Bryant Park.
Sidenote: I realllyyyy want over-the-knee socks. I've been on the hunt for two months. Seriously. Sound ridiculous? I have insanely long legs. I've bought three pairs so far, all of which fall directly below my knee. Tall girls and friends of--where can I get some?
Also, because I'm a shy bitty, I wish I were attending the Chictopia10 after party at the TriBeCa Grand, but because all of my friends are sick/out of town, I'll probably just be enjoying ice cream and a movie tonight. Tell me all about it, blogging beauties!
